When going to the Software Sources dialog and, choosing "Other..." in the download server box, a dialog pops up to let you choose your download mirror. When you click the "Choose best server" button, a dialog pops up pinging all servers, when you cancel this operation, and click the "Choose best server" button to start it again, under the progressbar it still says "Canceling...".
