Hi Walter,,,many thanks,,,,I have done  what you said,,,and it seems to
be OK ,I think its all there now.

  I was using 11.04 before and I had some wifi problems
,,,which now seems to be greatly resolved,(with 11.10) But I still havnt managed to get on line via wifi,,,,but now my laptop seems to see all the networks that are nearby,
I think I need to check my settings because it works fine with my lan cable direct to the router,but when I try to use wifi and click on the correct connection and put in the Key(which is on the bottom of the router),,it doesnt connect,
also now in the village we have 3 wifi transmitters(I've been given my user name and password),and still can't connect with them either,I think its to do with DNS,,which I only know a little about,,,I will need some help there too.

Note for Ubuntu designers,,,I liked 11.04natty,  now I've got used to
11.10 Oneiric I like that even better,,keep on the good work.
