I have a problem when launching some applications (Ubuntu software center, update manager, Deluge, Nicotine, Movie Player)
when i try to open one of them nothing happens except  starting "application" in the task bar and then it disappears.
i also tried to run using terminal ( returned  Bus error) 
and deluge returned  :

 Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/deluge", line 9, in <module>
    load_entry_point('deluge==1.3.0', 'console_scripts', 'deluge')()
  File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/deluge/main.py", line 121, in start_ui

  File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/deluge/ui/ui.py", line 121, in __init__
    config.save()
  File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/deluge/config.py", line 395, in save
    start, end = objects[0]
IndexError: list index out of range


tried sudo apt-get update
                             -f install
                             upgrade
                             dist-upgrade
                             clean
                             autoremove


and nothing happened

BTW i am on Maverick
