I am no longer having this problem. As there is another user affected, I
am not setting this as Fix Release yet, though.

Title:
List of apps for purchase is empty after choosing to "Reinstall
  previous purchases"

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I selected the option to "Reinstall previous purchases" in the File
menu. It asked for my username and password, and after this, nothing
happened. And now, the list of apps for purchase is empty (it wasn't
empty previously). Further attempts to reinstall previous purchases
have the same result, and I can't restore the list of apps for
  purchase to its previous state.
