Title:
  package samba-common 2:3.4.7~dfsg-1ubuntu3.8 failed to
  install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script
  returned error exit status 1

Status in “samba” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I didn't actually notice the failed install. But connectivity went
  away. I had to remove and re-install Samba from scratch to get it
  working again. Note also that security=user seems to cause the Samba
  server to be invisible to Windows 7 machines--by changing that one
  line in smb.conf (from user to share and back again) I could toggle
  the appearance of the server in my WIndows 7 network window (Win 7
  Pro, 64-bit).
