[Bug 872406] [NEW] Ubuntu Software Centre search does not always return installed software

Public bug reported:

Using Ubuntu 11.04 fully updated.
Ubuntu Software Centre version 4.04

Problem:

Sometimes I have to use Synaptic Package Manager, because Ubuntu
Software Centre does not return a valid result when searching for a
package.

Example (how to replicate):

For example, I install nautilus-dropbox (from the Dropbox website).
Later, I wish to find the package to check the version, uninstall or
whatever.

I use the search bar in Ubuntu Software Centre to find the package. I
have tried "nautilus", "dropbox" and "nautilus-dropbox". All three of
those should show the installed nautilus-dropbox package, but none of
them do.

Synaptic Package Manager, however, correctly displays nautilus-dropbox
when I search for it.
