Since bug #818177 is now fixed, it's probably worth retesting once
there's an image that includes that updated udev package. I don't have
high hopes for it fixing this, though, since that change was specific to
a race on udevd shutdown.

Title:
udev causes a kernel panic on oneiric network install

Status in “udev” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete
Status in “udev” source package in Oneiric:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
While installing a few machines with Oneiric via network install via
serial console, I encountered a kernel panic (see attached log). The
panic was inconsistently reproduced as I was installing several
machines and a reboot seemed to allow the installation to continue.

I initially thought that this was related to LP#818177, but I was told
that it was not and asked to open this bug report.
