Title:
  No graphical splash on VGA16fb (e.g., nvidia binary drivers), plymouth
  uses text plugin ("Ubuntu 10.04" in text)

Status in The Plymouth splash screen:
  New
Status in “plymouth” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in “plymouth” source package in Lucid:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Plymouth uses fallback blue ASCII progress bar; no splash.
  I'm using Lucid.

  I'm also kind of confused about how all these splashes come together;
  I have xsplash, xsplash-ubuntu-artwork, plymouth, plymouth-x11,
  libplymouth-dev and libplymouth2 installed but not the old usplash.
