Scott already said the fault wasn't in Wine itself.

** Changed in: wine (Ubuntu)

Title:
Two entries for WINE in software-center

Status in “app-install-data-ubuntu” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in “wine” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: software-center

There are two entries for WINE in software-center. They seem to be the
same version (even though one says Beta Version). What is the point of
having two WINE entries in software center, they are the same version
and installing one installs the other. (tested in maverick, natty)
