Thanks for the quick answer. Would you please be more specific about the issue i´m supposed to look for or about the software tools to use? 
Cable connections are fine and Windows 7 is installed and running without a single problem. This is a pretty new notebook (about  9 months old) and hasn´t given me any trouble at all, so a hardware issue would be weird.
