I can't figure out what happened here. Given the version is so old and
nobody else had the same problem, I'm marking it as incomplete so that
it gets expired if nobody comes up with an explanation.

  Fault was triggered while installing updates. Unfortunately, I didn't
  spot the message in the update log to know exactly which package
  caused the problem. It is likely that whichever package it was had an
  update in the March 14th - March 31st 2009 timescale.
