No need: after last try, update went 'perfectly', then after first reboot,
system became totally non-responsive, and wasn't fixable anymore. Since
this is happening every half year, with every upgrade, I decided to call it
a day and have completely deleted Ubuntu... Pitty, cause I did enjoy
working with it. Just can't deal with full re-installation each half yearly
upgrade...
