  installation crashes on pandaboard

Bug description:
  I am trying to install ubuntu 11.10 on a pandaboard, using the
  preinstalled-desktop image and the installer crashes while configuring
  something... I get no information about what is going wrong, no
  possibility to debug it and I have no idea how to access a terminal
  either to see the logs...
