Title:
  upstart jobs still using /var/run

Status in “ifupdown” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  when running:
  sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart

i noticed it tries to access some files from the new style structure, from /run/network. but this directory are not created on my system. upon further inspection, i noticed that the networking.conf file in /etc/init "mkdir"s the /var/run/network directory. this file belongs to ifupdown.
i modiefied the file based on guidelines in the oneiricupgrade pages in the ubuntu wiki, so that /var/run gets replaced with /{,var/}run, but the /run/network directory is still not being created :S
