[Bug 893528] [NEW] activity log to small

Public bug reported:

trying to open the current activity during install, one gets a tiny
black box with a scrollbar,  this is way to small to see what is
currently going on, there is no way to make it bigger.

the box should at least be big enough to show 3 lines of the log, even
better would be if it replaced the demo section to use all available
space.
