Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.  
I noticed that you are installing an older version of Ubuntu.  The latest version of Ubuntu is 11.10 and you can download it from http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/download.  I'd trying installing using the latest version of Ubuntu and see if the problem persists.\n\nIncidentally, I'm curious why you choose to install an older version of Ubuntu.  Could you please provide some details about how you got this version of Ubuntu to install?  Thanks in advance!
