Title:
nfs directory mount hangs after switch from one vpn connection to
  another one

Status in “nfs-utils” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: network-manager

  1. Using network manager, connect to VPN site A which has an ubuntu
  10.04 LTS server running nfs.

  2. Mount a directory to /mnt/siteA from that server on the local
client server running ubuntu 10.04 LTS (the 2 servers are almost
  clones).

  3. Unmount /mnt/siteA

  4. Using network manager, disconnect VPN site A

  5. Using network manager, connect to VPN site B which has an ubuntu
  10.04 LTS server running nfs.

  6. Try to mount a directory to /mnt/siteB from that server on the
local client server running ubuntu 10.04 LTS (again, the 2 servers are
  almost clones).

  7. Mount will hang. Also, just doing a ls /mnt hangs.

Tried restarting many services to no avail.

Only workaround is to reboot the client and then create a fresh VPN
connection to site B. Then can mount /mnt/siteB.
