Title:
  could not calculate the upgrade

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

  I am getting this error when I try to get upgrades:

  A unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.

  Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:
  'E:Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.'

  Also, when i enter dpkg --get- selections | grep hold, I dont get any
  output.

  I have also attached /var/log/dist-upgrade folder in tar.gz format for
  your reference.

  Please help me solve this. Thanks!
