Alessandro,
I think Ubuntu is absolutely brilliant, I just wanted to wean myself off
Windows 7 (which I hate, far too many unrepairable bugs) by using the
Dual Boot System.
I believe that my problems started when Ubuntu installed itself onto my
external drive, instead of a partition on C drive.

Title:
error: no such device: a6e9ac82-12c2-4c83-ac35-b7b29d8cc206
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I removed the printer from the computer.
Re-installed Ubuntu using: Erase Ubuntu 11.10 and reinstall. (Warning: This will delete all your Ubuntu programs, documents, photos, music, and any other files). It obviously did not.
Restarted computer, and the above message appeared.
I once again re-installed, using Upgrade Ubuntu 11.10 to 11.10. (Documents, music, and other personal files will be kept.
Installed software will be kept where possible. System- wide settings will be cleared).
Restarted computer, to be confronted once again with, error: no such device: a6e9ac82-12c2-4c83-ac35-b7b29d8cc206.
The computer will still only operate when the Cd is inserted and in Try Ubuntu mode.
I have no idea if my anti-virus software software is working.
THIS IS BEYOND A JOKE!!!!
