indeed solution #24 worked for me as well on 11.10.  Though my issues
was different - I already had the upgrade made on my ubuntu server and
has been using 11.10 for 2 months of so.  All of the sudden I got this
error message.

Bug description:
  The dbus service doesn't start correctly. 
  This happens since version dbus_1.4.12-4ubuntu2_amd64.
