[Bug 844191] [NEW] grub does not apply badram parameter

I have modified /etc/default/grub to pass badram parameters to the
kernel... even after update-grub, though /boot/grub/grub.cfg seems to
pick up the changes, when I boot, the parameters are not in the menus.
