Hi Dale, the version with the fix is 5.1.1.1. You can check if it has
reached your repositories by doing the following at the command line:

  $ sudo apt-get update
  $ apt-cache policy software-center

This will show you if version 5.1.1.1 is available to install (note that
the previous version 5.1.1 is the version with this bug).

Then, just type the following to update to software-center 5.1.1.1, and
it should start up fine after that.

  $ sudo apt-get install software-center

If 5.1.1.1 has not yet reached your repos/mirrors, just wait a bit more
and it will (I see it myself now).

Let us know if you have any further trouble. Thanks!
