I can confirm this. On a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.10 I chose to install old purchases (steelstorm) and ended up with
steelstorm-episode2 2.00.02876-0maverick1 instead of 2.00.02876-0oneiric1. Changing the private ppa from natty to oneiric fixed this.

Title:
  Reinstall old purchase give a wrong ppa source list (natty instead
  oneiric)

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  From a fresh install of oneiric i wanted reinstall my old purchase
  (steel storm) but after the installation the software doesn't work.

  1 - dpkg -l | grep steel -> it's a package for natty
  2 - I look inside steel storm ppa it's a ppa for natty.

  Fix : replace natty by oneiric then apt-get update/upgrade and it's
  work correctly

  cheers
