that isnt what is happening here.  people are running unmodified git
trees and hitting this nlist error.  some people might be testing
patches in an attempt to address the original problem, but those patches
arent the cause.

Bug description:
  After updating libc6, starting some programs fails ... eg for me
  ogg123 fails as:

  $ ogg123
  Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-deps.c: 622: _dl_map_object_deps: Assertion `nlist > 1' failed!
