clang should be made aware of multi-arch as it has a supported package
available. Though it is not installed by default. Could it simply depend
on gcc-multilib?

Title:
include/asm missing - change "Suggest" to "Depends" on gcc-multilib

Status in “gcc-defaults” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
After upgrade to Natty my system was suddenly missing the
/usr/include/asm symlink. The responsibility for setting this up had
been moved to gcc-multilib, which was not a direct dependency of gcc
(or build-essential for that matter), only "Suggest".

I'd like to suggest that it becomes a direct dependency of either the
  gcc package or build-essential.

Thanks for an otherwise awesome distribution!
  Best regards
   /Troglobit
