Running postinst hook script /usr/sbin/update-grub.

/etc/default/grub: 28:

This seems to be a grub error. Considering the garbage grub shows,
you have to regenerate the grub config before reboot:
update-grub

grub maintainer will proabably need more hints on what is broken on that
particular box.
