Public bug reported:

I tried many times to install ubuntu 10.10 netbook, but it stop buring
de coping of files. The installer say me that the cd-rom is dirty or the
hard disk is damaged, but I use memory stick to install and my ntbk is
new. Now, the W7 doesn't run and can not reinstall it because de W7
installer doesn't recognise de HDD.
