Hi Laura, thank you for your bug report and sorry for the trouble you
are having. I notice that you are running a very old version of Ubuntu
(9.10 Karmic Koala). In fact, this version has been end-of-lifed now and
so is not officially supported any longer (please see
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-announce/2011-May/000148.html).
Please consider upgrading to a newer version of Ubuntu. Certainty,
besides the host of benefits of running a more recent (and supported)
version of Ubuntu, I think you will find that Software Center in later
releases has come a long way from the version that you are running!

Bug description:
On some of the install pages for some of the applications the page is
blank. I can't install or update any of those applications. Including
Firefox.
Sidenote: I am not very savy with Linux.
