Public bug reported:

I tried to boot the Oneric LiveCD from 2011-06-22 with this the "text"
boot option. It didn't start X, but it also doesn't spawn a shell or
login prompt. It starts all services, and then switches to VT 1 and
dies. It doesn't freeze because I can still switch between VTs.

** Affects: casper (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
