Title:
Can't connect to a bluetooth device
Status in “dbus” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: dbus
1)
Description: Ubuntu oneiric (development branch)
Release: 11.10
2)
dbus:
Installed: 1.4.8-3ubuntu4
Candidate: 1.4.8-3ubuntu4
Version table:
*** 1.4.8-3ubuntu4 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
3) I ran gnome-control-center, pressed the "Bluetooth" button, chosen an existing device from the list and toggled the "connection" switch, expecting the device to connect
4) the device did not connect, the following appeared in the auth.log:
dbus-daemon: [system] Rejected send message, 2 matched rules;
type="error", sender=":1.8" (uid=0 pid=969 comm="/usr/sbin/bluetoothd
--udev ") interface="(unset)" member="(unset)" error
name="org.bluez.Error.NotConnected" requested_reply=0
destination=":1.52" (uid=1000 pid=1691 comm="gnome-control-center
--overview "))
Note:
The only way to connect the device is by removing it from the list using "-" button and then adding it again as a new device using the "+" button.
