Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: udev

Ubuntu 11.04 is installed on Dell Latitude d820 with Nvidia Geforce 7300
graphic card. Unity is forced by adding a required line to
/etc/environment file and runs fine. The system is multi boot with
Lucid, Fedora 15, Xubuntu, and Kubuntu on it. With all other systems but
Unity, dvd drive (see info below) works just fine, that is both cd's and
dvd's are loaded automatically as expected.

In Unity:

1. usb drives and cd-rom's are mounted automatically when inserted as
expected.

2. dvd's (neither data nor video) are mounted automatically, but can be
mounted unto a specified point (e.g. /medea/cdrom0 directory, if
created) manually.

below is `lshw | grep cdrom` output

           *-cdrom
                description: DVD writer
                product: DVD+-RW DW-Q58A
                vendor: SONY
                physical id: 1
                bus info: scsi at 1:0.0.0
                logical name: /dev/cdrom
                logical name: /dev/cdrw
                logical name: /dev/dvd
                logical name: /dev/dvdrw
                logical name: /dev/scd0
                logical name: /dev/sr0
                version: UDS2
                capabilities: removable audio cd-r cd-rw dvd dvd-r
                configuration: ansiversion=5 status=nodisc

** Affects: udev (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
