Title:
  Ubiquity KDE frontend does not display UI during a preseeded install

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity-frontend-kde

  When installing Kubuntu 10.10 and newer using a preseed file I noticed
  that there is no UI presented to the user. X is up and there is a
  pointer, but no UI. I dug into the code and came across this line:

  if not 'UBIQUITY_AUTOMATIC' in os.environ:
              self.ui.show()

  So obviously this is intentional. I am just not sure why and I
  believe it to be a bug. Reason being that the GTK frontend for
  ubiquity _will_ display a UI even if an unattended install is
  happening. Is there some reason this code is here (there was no
  comment explaining why)?
