Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
Ubiquity crashes with input output errors. Stating the drive is defective. However it is a new drive I have partitioned for the
first time on a machine that runs Natty, opensuse fedora 15 and debian without problems This same problem has been with the
daily live installs for several days if not at least two weeks.
I will attempt to use the alternate installer. The alternate installer has failed when trying to download the file linux-generic
the kernel package. This problem has existed for at least a week. I am attempting to install the amd64 version.
** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
