Hi Nick,
If this problem is still reproducible for you currently, can you capture
a full process list from the system with the command 'pstree' and
forward the output to the bug?
Once we have that information, you can work around this issue on your
system by killing process 2036 (sudo kill 2036) or, in a pinch, by
rebooting.
