My apolgies for not getting back to you I had a hard drive corruption and
had to wipe out every thing so I'm not sure if it fixed it or not... I
haven't reinstalled ubuntu yet as I have been terribly busy with work but I
will inform you if I run into the problem again and if your solution worked
