Title:
  update-notifier doesn't appear in tray

Status in “update-notifier” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-notifier

I'm running Natty for several days now, and update-notifier doesn't appear in tray (not under Unity, Unity-2d, nor the classic gnome desktop), despite running and being whitelisted.
I have run the command < gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist "['all']" > and restarted, but it still doesn't show.
Update-manager, when started manually, works ok.
