Title:
  [wrap-and-sort] library access to functionality

Status in “devscripts” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubuntu-dev-tools

the various Bazaar plugins have a script which can automatically
update dependencies in debian/control based on the information found
in the source tree. It does this using python-debian, which doesn't
format fields in the same way as wrap-and-sort, causing unnecessary
  deltas.

It would be neat if wrap-and-sort could be used as a Python module.
