Title:
Grub does not detect/display non-windows operating systems after Alpha
  2 install

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

Just attempted a Maverick install using the Alpha 2 iso for i386 on my
  Lenovo S-10.

My partition table is big (I have partitions for Windows XP,
Crunchbang, Lucid and a spare for testing Alpha/Beta releases.

  sda1: Windows XP
  sda2: Swap
  sda3: Extended
  sda5: /boot - Crunchbang
  sda6: /boot - Lucid
  sda7: /boot - test OS
  sda8: / - Lucid
  sda9: / - test OS
  sda10: / - test space
  sda11: / - Crunchbang

I installed Maverick into the test partition, and installation was
successful. However, after I rebooted, the grub screen only shows
Windows XP, it does NOT show any of my other Linux installs, not even
the Maverick install I just did.

To check things out, I booted into the maverick live environment and the partitions are still present. I'll now have to go and fix grub.
