Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Apparently one can install Ubuntu using the username "nobody" without
  being warned that this name is reserved, which results in an unusable
  system.

  (This is a second-hand bug report, so Im sorry I cant provide you with
  much more information)
