Title:
Installer crashes at approx. 65% of installation
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
Ubiquity 2.3.7
Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick)
I did a command line install of kubuntu alternate 10.10 alpha 3, which went fine.
I then used the CLI-install to build a custom live cd using the instructions on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCDCustomizationFromScratch. I burned my custom image to a rewritable cd and booted it to test it.
The live-cd does work like normal, but the installer I put on it, doesn't.
Selecting language, partition, timezone, username, password all went without any problems.
But the installation to the hard drive fails with the message you can see in installation_failed_1.png.
It complains the hard drive may be faulty, but I'm fairly sure this is not the problem, because I've had no problems with the harddisk since I bought it almost 5 years ago.
