Title:
unbuntu 10.10 installer crashed
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor
Booted using the Live DVD for 10.10 Maverick Meerkat, then used the "Install Ubuntu 10.10" link on the desktop.
Ubuntu installer successfully formated hard drive partition, but then failed during copy of files to hard drive.
Recieved an installer crashed error
Have done a check/verify DVD from installer menu on disk and did an MD5 hash check on downloaded iso, both = OK.
Hardware is a G2 - HP Proliant ML570 (2 - 2.8Ghz Xeon, 4Gb RAM) with a 3ware Escalade 9500S-8 sata raid card, OS drive partiation is a Raid 1 of 2 - samsung 160Gb sata drives.
Previously system was running windows 2003 server standard edition
with no issues (2hrs prior), so am sure hardware is ok as well.
Have attached the syslog file as directed by the install error
message.
