  synaptic crashed with SIGSEGV in std::basic_string<char,

  This happened in a fresh installation of daily build 21/7 just updated from the main server, when the Software Center was started.
  "lightdm-example-gtk-greeter" and "update-apt-xapian-index" crashed at the same time.
