Title:
  pycommon dies during Natty upgrade

Status in “python2.7” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
When upgrading to Natty, pycommon crashed on me with a TypeError,
since there's apparently temporarily no default version of python at
that point (as far as it's concerned); this is fairly serious as it
caused the python2.7 package installation to fail and prevented the
  upgrade from completing.
