Title:
  CD/DVD Drive disappears from "Computer"

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I use Ubuntu 11.04. I can't install the programme from the original
CD that supports UBUNTU/DEBIAN LINUX, 350MHz, 256MB RAM. Tried using
Edit>Add CD-ROM in Synaptic Package Manager. But it can't mount the
CD. No problem with the CD. (Checked in 'Windows' in another
Computer. Working smoothly.) In my system the result is:

E: Unable to stat the mount point /media/cdrom/ - stat (2: No such file or directory)
E: Unable to stat the mount point /media/cdrom/ - stat (2: No such file or directory)
E: Failed to mount the cdrom.
