Bug description:
  This happened repeatedly the same way both when trying to install to
  hard drive and also Oracle Virtual Box; tried using Checksum and
  everything looked good. downloaded several times and burned to discs
  of different brands; works beautifully right until the end when I get
  a message saying "sorry, the installer has crashed; I made a copy of
  syslog and could only find a "partman" folder (not the address
  stipulated); I am not clear where to send these; thanks so much for
  your help; note: was able to install Artistx .9 to Oracle Virtual Box;
  I have an AMD type machine; I formatted an ext4 100gb partition for
  the installation.
