Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, it looks like a package's list file is
missing a final line newline. Could you please look in the directory
/var/lib/dpkg/info/ for the relevant package's .list file and attach it
to this bug? This error may also be indicative of hardware issues with
your system so you may also want to run a memory and hard drive test.
