Title:
Fn keys don't work on Samsung X65
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Status in “udev” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: udev
I have a Samsung X65 laptop running Karmic, everything seems to work
OK except for a few of the special blue Fn keys, specifically the
battery status, screen switch, and the Samsung special "Magic Doctor"
and speed control keys. Running xev, the keys don't even report events
to the X server so this appears to be a hardware management issue. The
same issues were present on my Samsung N110 netbook prior to kernel
2.6.31 but are no resolved and with the additional nc10-scripts
package from https://launchpad.net/~voria/+archive/ppa perform the
expected functions. Any advice on diagnosing this problem would be
appreciated.
