[Bug 809543] [NEW] Excessive memory use (leaks) in rsyslogd using tls/tcp

Hi there,
After some discussion on the rsyslog mailing list i've found a memory leak using the latest rsyslogd in oneiric (5.8.1) 

I'm using a pretty standard tls and tcp config with 14 clients sending
1-7M of data daily. My config is available here for examination:

I've confirmed this by trying various versions (from 5.6.3 to 5.8.1) and
have only found it to be fixed using 5.8.3.

5.8.1 was using around 1.4G of resident memory while so far 5.8.3 is
around 240M (stable for the last 8 hours)

Could we move to using the latest stable release from the rsyslog website?
Is there any reason why oneiric isn't using it?

The upstream provider has mentioned that release 5.8.3 fixes the memory leaks.

Test system: Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS
Versions: rsyslogd 5.6.3, 5.8.1, 5.8.3** (fixed)
Expected results: Not to leak memory (!)
