Probably the error is this:

ERROR:root:Dist-upgrade failed: 'package «ubuntu-desktop» is selected
for removal, but is blacklisted for removal.'

ERROR:root:Dist-upgrade failed: 'Il pacchetto «ubuntu-desktop» è
selezionato per la rimozione, ma è nella blacklist per la rimozione.'

The error in the popup, translated, is something similar to "cannot
detect metapackage"
