Public bug reported:

I booted Ubuntu 11.04 from a live-usb and tried to resize my main ubuntu
partitition with Gparted 0.7.0, but for some reason it keeps failing. I
tried turning SwapOff, but that made no difference. After 3 attempts,
I'm a bit stumped and would appreciate any help. I've attached the
detail log.

** Affects: gparted (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
